Cyclic carbonate monomers for NIPU and PHU systems

RockyTech supplies a suite of cyclic carbonate monomers and polyhydroxyurethane (PHU) vitrimers for isocyanate-free polyurethane chemistry. The monomers are made from petroleum-derived or biodegradable feedstocks combined with carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, giving 100% atom-efficient conversion and permanent storage of CO2 in useful building blocks for coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, and composites.

WeCAN® M101 is a difunctional cyclic carbonate monomer for non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) and polyhydroxyurethane (PHU) systems, including coatings, adhesives, and composites. Its rigid aromatic backbone raises the modulus, hardness, and thermal performance of the cured material compared with aliphatic cyclic carbonates.
